Just because you say someone is not a Christian does not make it true

Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. (I Corinthians 12:14-16)

The one true church, the body of Christ, is made up of many different people, and none of us are exactly the same. Sometimes we can get discouraged because we do not think that we are as holy or spiritual as other Christians and we may be tempted to say “because I am not like them I do not belong to the body.” But the Apostle Paul gifts of comforting words in the text above, that just because we say that we do not belong to the body, we do not for that reason stop being part of the body. Our membership is something that has been given to us by God, purchased by the blood of Christ, and we cannot lose it.

Unfortunately there have been some self-styled church leaders over the years who think they can redefine who is a member of the body and who is not. But they, in all their words and their reasons can do nothing to disqualify any of those who have repented of their sins and believed in Jesus Christ for salvation.
