No, you do not have to sin

Sometimes it is hard to resist temptation. Sometimes we experience a very strong urge to do what is wrong. But this urge can be resisted when we turn to God and ask for help. God’s help to keep us from sinning is available to those who ask for it, as the Apostle Paul writes:

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[d] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (I Corinthians 10:13 NIV)

The Apostle writes here that God will provide a way for us to “endure” temptation. We do not have to give in to the temptation and sin. Never accuse God of causing you to sin; when you sin it is your own choice and you are the only one responsible for it.
