The Love Of God Is Not Seen Without The Ministry Of the Holy Spirit

Intellectuals do not understand the mercy and grace that God gives to the humble of heart. When intellectuals take a look at the universe they do not know how to process the great majesty that is there, and therefore they are constantly deriving empty theories about what it all means that are totally false and miss the things that are most important.

They miss the overall point of the universe, which is, to provide a place for those among humans who are humble to be touched by the God of the universe, who desires a personal relationship with them. There is an even great universe coming–the New Heavens and New Earth, for those who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ. All of this has no value in the eyes of the intellectuals, because they are blind:

“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”
the things God has prepared for those who love him— (I Corinthians 2:9 NIV).

Actually no one, whether they are “intellectual” or not, sees or comprehends the great love of God by their own power. We are all sinful humans blinded by our own lusts and desires. But some of us have seen the truth–not because we are super intelligent, but Because the Holy Spirit has given us eyes to see:

these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit (I Corinthians 2:10).

So none of us can brag about discovering God’s great plan for the universe, since it was given to us, We did not figure it out using our great intellect.
