You Can Not Be A True Christian If You Do Not Believe This Verse

The Bible teaches us many things that are popular today. The Bible teaches that God loves everyone, that no race is superior to another, and that that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. These are all commonly accepted by secular culture as “good.”

But the Bible also teaches us somethings that popular culture rejects. Here is one of them:

“Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.” (Colossians 1:21)

The Bible teaches us that we are all God’s enemies, at least to begin with. We all choose evil, we hate the one true God, and create our own gods in his place.

Popular wisdom says that this is wrong. Popular knowledge says that God loves everyone (which is true) and that everyone loves God (which is false). It teaches (wrongly) that all people start out as God’s friends and become even more friendly with God as time develops and they learn good things.

But the Bible teaches something different. The Bible teaches that we start out as God-haters. This is true. This is the reason for so many problems in the world. God is not our friend; we have made Him our enemy. We all have started out hating Him and hating His ways. That is why we will go to hell if we do not repent.

But we must repent, and believe in the one true God who always loved us, even when we hated Him. Stop blaming other people for your own evil choices. Admit the fact that “once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.” If you admit this, and believe in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross to save your soul, God will forgive you of your sins and welcome you into His family.

God loves everyone, even horrible sinners like you and me. Repent and believe!
