Make A Renewed Effort To Keep Critical Words Out Of Your Marriage

“And then there’s the weed of critical words. Proverbs 18:21 says ‘death and life are in the power of tongue.’ Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. In other words, our words have the power to kill people, or to give them life. Critical, sarcastic, biting words, are like the vine that wraps around your tomato plant and chokes it. Ephesians 4:29 “let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification, according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace, to those who hear,” so instead of destructive speech, the garden of our marriage needs life-giving, healthy words that build up each other.”
