I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. (Revelation 19:11-13 NIV)
When Jesus comes back to defeat evil He will return with a robe dipped in blood. This blood could represent the blood of His enemies, but more likely, His own blood, which was shed for all those who repent and believe in Him. Jesus allowed Himself to be killed even though He was innocent. In doing so, He conquered sin and death once for all. Us selfish, prideful, human beings have trouble understanding the kind of humility that would compel the Son of God to do this great thing for us. JESUS BEGAN HIS CONQUEST OF THE EARTH BY ALLOWING HIMSELF TO BECOME AN INNOCENT VICTIM. But when He returns the second time as our ressurrected Savior, He will finally drive out all evil before Him by force, and slay the wicked, as is necessary if justice is to prevail.
