Isaiah 2:20,21- No One Will Be Able To Face God, When He “Shakes The Earth Mightily”

In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats
Their idols of silver and their idols of gold,
Which they made for themselves to worship,
21 In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs
Before the terror of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth tremble. (Isaiah 2:20-21 NASB)

These two verses reiterates the themes of verses 18-19: That the day of the Lord will completely, publicly, expose the insanity of idolatry, and that no one will be able to face him. Verse 21 repeats that great phrase from verse 19 describing How God “arises to make the earth tremble!”
