“Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37 Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true.” (John 4:36-37)
Evangelism is a team effort. True belief in Jesus Christ is usually the result of the witness of many people, not just one. Therefore, when a person decides to surrender their life to God, those who gave them the gospel should not argue with each other over which one is more responsible for this person’s salvation. Rather than argue about who did more, they should rejoice and “be glad together” knowing that they have just gained a new brother (or sister).
