John the Baptist Came To Point People To Christ

“John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’” (John 1:15)

John the baptist did not come to teach his own philosophy and plan for living a better life. Rather, he came to point them to Jesus, the only who who possessed the answers that everyone needs.

As Christians we need to remember to be like John. We need to do everything we can to elevate Christ, not promote our own name-brand. Beware of “Christian” teachers that try really hard to get people to follow after themselves.
