Philosophy, without the Apostles or the Prophets, is not Christianity

“Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles”. (II Peter 3:1-2)

True Christianity is more than just a “do good to others” philosophy. It requires one to have genuine faith in the gospel message which was foretold in the Old Testament and manifested in the New. It is important for us as Christians to keep reading the writings of the prophets and apostles. It is not good enough for us to simply learn right and wrong from secular sources.
