There is no risk involved in doing what is right.

“Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.” (I Peter 3:13-14)

The Bible teaches us that there is no real risk to us for doing what is right. Yes, people may hurt us and persecute us, but God will reward us for doing what is right in heaven. Therefore we must always tell the truth and do what is good.

Of course this principle is very hard to live out. I myself fail to apply it every day. I pray that God will grant me grace and strength to be strong enough to do good even when I am persecuted for it.

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28).
