There are many so-called Christians these days that want to live like ignorant sinners. They know that it is wrong for them to get drunk or have a constant stash of pornography, and yet they do not even try to stop. They are living the same kind of lives that they were living before they supposedly repented of their sins and believed in Jesus.
But true Christians are not supposed to live like this. The Apostle Peter said:
“As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.” (I Peter 1:14)
If you are one of these stubborn Christians reading this article right now, I urge you to repent of your sins and start being obedient to God. Please, do not quote Jesus words in Matthew Chapter 7 as an excuse to ignore this passage above, and many other New Testament passages. There is nothing in Matthew Chapter 7 that gives you an excuse to continue in sin.
