Why Muslims do not have the power to follow God’s commandments

There are many religious people in our world today who try to follow God’s commandments. But it is very hard for anyone to keep God’s commandments because we are all sinners, and we do not naturally want to follow God’s law.

However, God has provided a way to change our hearts inside out. He can make it so that we enjoy doing what is right and obeying God’s commandments. God promises to change those of us who repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God who died for our sins.

The Bible says:

“Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” (I John 5:5 NIV)

  1. Why Muslims do not have the power to follow God’s commandments –
    Really?

“Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” (I John 5:5 NIV)

    1) what is the meaning of “Son of God”?
    Define that clearly 1st.

  2. schildan10 says:

    That is a good question.

The answer was given by many of the prophets hundreds of years before Jesus was born. You can find it in Micah 5:2, Psalm 2:7, Among others.

The Son of God is God Himself inhabiting a human body. His human body is “begotten” (Psalm 2:7), yet He Himself is “from everlasting” (Micah 5:2). The Son of God has a human mother, but no human father. The Son of God is One with God.
