Unbelievers are motivated by rebellion, not logic

“We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.”(I John 4:6 NIV)

There are many people who claim that their viewpoints are formed by logic. I believe that such claims are almost always false. People do not use logic to form their core beliefs. They use their heart to formulate their core beliefs, and then use their logic to rationalize what they have already concluded.

Those who have a willing heart will accept the truth when we tell it to them. However, those who do not want to repent of their sins and let God run their life will perpetually keep coming up with excuses to disbelieve until the day they die.

  1. The truth, and that could be any minute. So repent now. God knows sincerity. He knows man’s every thought, heart and soul. He knew you before the earth was, before creation. Do you know him? I believe all is possible with God. My dad died 3-16-12. The Lord had me to witness and my brother. He was a captive audience the last 12 hours of his life. Don’t die with your sins not covered by the blood of Christ on the cross. He died once for all.
